Definition of “Success” How to Achieve It…

How do you master “Success”?? There’s an age old question if I ever heard it before…   But, seriously, there are ways.   It starts with Time.   Don’t try to be pushy, thinking you can get there right away, and 2), it all about perspective.   One person might think “Success” is waking up in the morning, and another may think “Success” is swimming in a pool with Millions of dollars in it.

So, on that note, don’t think of “success” as a destination per se, but more of a journey.

Okay, so pick an area of your life…   Choose from these options:

  • Personal
  • Professional (Career/Business)
  • Health
  • Relationships (Professional/Personal/Family)
  • Service to Others
  • Financial
  • Spiritual

In actuality, you could probably make up more, but for the sake of this example, just use this list.   It’s about as broad as you can get without getting too deep.

Most people would like to have success in each of these areas, but at the same time, view “success” as only money or career based options.   When you focus on only money and career based options, you will let other areas of your life go to the hounds.  Such as your family, your health, your spiritual life…

This creates an unbalance in life, and the unbalance can cause stress.   If you are stressed out over money and finances, and you worry about your family, you aren’t really “successful”

In workshops past, I have described ‘success’ as being “a genuine balance of achievement in all areas of your life that are important to you”…  I’ve also described it as being, “a gradual and ever continuing sense of achievement in all areas of life”…

Choose your poison, whichever one suits you best…  OR, come up with your own definition.   Either way, don’t let anything stand between you and your happiness.   When it comes down to it, its really just how happy you are in life, and how content you are with the people and relationships you have…

burning desire coaching

A large number of folks have something they passionately want. Their burning desire fuels their reason for personal development and achievement. They are labeled as productive. Those who spend their time hoping for something which will not happen end up with discouragement and melancholy. Obviously, it is far better to nurture a dream into a burning desire than it is to merely wait for the dream to happen.

To never endeavor to obtain a burning desire is a misfortune. This lack of motivation leaves an individual feeling bereft of a purpose. A burning desire can have any kind of goal. It could possibly be a wish for a better occupation, desiring a family or for a life mate. It could even be a need to be great at a certain skill, or to finally have financial freedom.

Problems such as these can from time to time seem unrealistic and make a person feel as if they have already failed, even before they’ve attempted to attain them. That is why a burning desire needs to have goals. Turning a burning desire into actuality must start with personal goal setting. Without knowledgable goal setting, a burning desire is merely a dream deferred.

How to Set Goals and objectives

To develop a burning desire into actuality, the goal needs to be clearly articulated. One’s burning desire often directly relates to their life goals and objectives. It may help a great deal to sit down and actually jot down the goals and objectives of your burning desire. This can be the first step in personal development.

Goal setting is just not as quick for some men and women as it might appear. This is why there’s plenty of resources to teach individuals how to set goals and objectives. There is even goal setting software in the marketplace to aid in this progression. One may be able to read books that practice goal setting routines.

Accomplishing the Burning Desire To Achieve Goals

With the goals and objectives of a burning desire defined, it is easier to establish how to obtain those objectives. Developing a burning desire is the highest possible type of personal development.

When any person is obsessed with the goals and objectives they are striving to reach they are more content. And they are more likely to achieve their objectives just because they are more content.

After objectives are identified, a close and honest look has to be taken at the present-day situation. This can be the beginning point. Now what steps must any person take to foster those objectives. Conceivably you need to compare yourself to somebody who has accomplished similar objectives.

  • What steps did they take to achieve their success?
  • What starting parameters are different?
  • What needs to be done to prevail over those hurdles?
  • What has to change to enable the dream to materialize?
  • What factors restrict it?
  • Is there an alternate goal that is more suited to current abilities, age, finances, and talents that appears more achievable?

If there is one thing common among all women or men  – lets agree that everyone would want to lose couple pounds Some are successful in losing that extra poundage while others struggle The most important thing that results in some losing weight and others struggling to lose weight is their mind. There is a very simple answer. It is the way they think and take action every day. Simple right? No most things that are simple are not easy to do or be consistent at least for most of the people who are struggling to lose weight.

I am going to discuss just a few tips that will help you jump start your mind towards the new you with couple of pounds lighter.

First of all if you have been struggling for a long time with you weight, change the way you think. Most of the time you will be starting a exercise regimen or an diet with a end result in your mind, which is, “This is going to be hard” or “I don’t think I am going to lose weight”. So hence the result.

Second, Thinking too much. I used to do that – think too much about getting up early in the morning, doing my cardio for thirty long minutes. Forget it – I slept in as the process was hard and long and its something that I did not enjoy. So do not think too much about exercising. Do you think about the whole process of brushing your teeth, taking a shower? No. So let exercising be in the category of brushing, showering, eating etc. When you wake up in the morning just start exercising. After about 20 days it will become a second nature.

Third, have a vision of yourself. Don’t lose weight for anybody but for yourself.

Fourth, always have a comfortable sports bra. I prefer the padded sports bra when I work out in the gym to prevent see through when I sweat. Sports bra comes in all sizes, type and color. If you think you blessed in you upper body then try getting a plus size sports bra to work out in the gym. For women comfort when working out plays a good role in motivation.

Also remember that on the days that you work out you will notice yourself making a conscious effort to eat healthy. Success in anything start in your mind. So follow these gour simple suggestions and get yourself on the road to the better and the sexier you.

Hey Everyone!

I know I haven’t posted anything in awhile, I’ve been busy flying, and learning, and trying to create the best possible content to GIVE away to you guys… I’m going insane with it all to be honest, but it’s starting to calm down a little these days…

I realized though, that I wanted you to know more about me, as a person, not as a business owner.

I’ll probably post a few of these “about me” kind of blogs occasionally just so you know where I came from… I can’t put it all into one post cause that would be crazy long, but over time, you see, you’ll get to know who I am…

First of all, for anyone who hasn’t heard or read just yet, I am 28 years old as of this writing, and I currently have a career in the United States Army as a CH-47 (Chinook) helicopter pilot. I didn’t always fly helicopters, but in 2003 I realized I wanted something more than what I had… I pushed paper, and dispatched vehicles… a low key job, low responsibility, and worst of all, it had NO potential for growth. In order to grow out of my job, I had to CHANGE my job. So I did…

I’ve always had an interest in Aviation growing up, so I looked into aviation as an alternate career path for the US Army. Turns out I had bad eyes, and didn’t meet the pre-requisites to make it as a Army Aviator.

I’m the kind of person that doesn’t like to take ‘no’ for an answer, so I looked into Laser Eye Surgery, took extra testing, and training, picked up my private pilots license, and finished my degree. It took time, but I made it.

Also in that time period, I also began to live the success principles that I now teach. In fact, I wanted to teach them before, but I knew that I needed to prove the techniques worked, not only to myself, but to others as well. How could I ever teach others to be successful in life, if I had nothing real to offer? A very good question.

Since that day, I’ve accomplished more things in my life than I EVER thought I would accomplish by the age of 28, I now fly the most awesome aircraft in the Army inventory, (well, to me, anyway), and I went through over 5 years of training to get there.

Remember when your parents said to you: “you can do anything you want, you just have to put your mind to it”? Yeah, well, turns out that’s a true statement…. who knew, right??!

That’s it for today, but next time I write about myself, I’ll go a little more in depth into where I’ve been, and what I want to do in the future….

To your success,
Matthew King
